Uber, a cab service company, has fired 600 employees in India.
➤This is about 25 percent of Uber's total workforce in the country.
The retrenchment is done with customer and driver support, business development, legal, finance, and marketing verticals. Uber announced that employees affected by these layoffs will be given 10 weeks payout and medical insurance coverage for the next 6 months. Uber has fired a total of 6700 employees in the global position, which is about 25% of its total workforce.

Automobile platform CarDekho.com has decided to drop workers and cut salaries. The company did not provide information on the number of employees to be fired. However, the company can fire around 200 employees. CarDekho.com parent company GirnarSoftware has decided to cut the pay package of salary from 12 to 15 percent.
